As a Founding Partner, Matthew helps lead the strategic direction and overall Management of CFS. He is often quoted for his professional insight on financial topics and has been published in FORBES.com, U.S. News & World Report and Yahoo Finance.
Along with his management responsibilities at Cornerstone, Matthew advises individuals and businesses on strategies pertaining to Individual Wealth Management, Retirement Planning and Legacy Planning. Additionally, he works cross-functionally with his CFS Partners on Business Consulting, Qualified Plans and Corporate Strategies for small and medium size businesses. Matthew holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in Supply Chain Management and Finance from Michigan State University and an MBA in International Business from Oakland University. He also holds his Series 7 Registered Representative of CoreCap Investments, Series 66 Investment Advisor Representative registration with CoreCap Advisors, and his Life, Accident and Health Insurance Licenses. Additionally, Matthew sits on the firm’s Investment Committee Board.
Matthew and his wife Jane reside in Lake Orion, Michigan with their two sons, Carter and Cole. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, snow skiing, traveling and coaching youth sports.
